Teaching experience at the appropriate school level
Familiarity with classical Christian education

Responsibilities:
Instruction & Classical Pedagogy
Teach using classical methods appropriate to the Grammar, Logic Stage, or Rhetoric Stage, emphasizing inquiry, reasoning, and discussion.
Guide students to ask meaningful questions and explore, creating wonder
Integrate a Christian worldview, helping students see the order, beauty, and purpose in creation.
Curriculum & Lesson Planning
Prepare clear, organized lesson plans aligned with HHCA curriculum.
Post assignments and instructions in the school’s learning management system.
Provide guidance for home-day learning, ensuring clarity for both students and parents.
Incorporate review of prior material and cumulative understanding.
Student Engagement & Formation
Foster a classroom environment of respect, curiosity, and thoughtful discussion.
Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and participate actively.
Cultivate habits of attention, diligence, and intellectual humility.
Support the development of both academic skill and character.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents regarding expectations and student progress.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to strengthen school culture and instruction.

Faith
Our teachers teach from within the Christian faith and will relate class concepts to the Christianity world view. Headington Hill Classical Academy instructors will affirm the dogmas expressed in the Nicene Creed without exception, and affirm traditional moral teachings of the faith. will be individuals who pursue virtue and holiness in their own lives as they are challenged to serve as living examples for our students.

Qualifications
